After the birth of their twins; Isaac and Seán, Mia and Usna returned from Usnas familys pack (Shadowfang) and settled themselves back down with life in Harvest. Unfortunately for them, life had decided to take a very unexpected and very difficult turn.

One early morning, Usna had been sitting out by the campfire near the den while Mia slept inside with her new infant boys, Drake, and their Alpha. Before the rising of dawn, a group of battle hardy hunters had invaded the pack lands quietly. Mistaking Usnas darken form as the Alpha of the pack, they captured him and hauled him away.

Mia had woken with a sickening feeling as Usna had been hauled away, Ordering Drake to protect the pups, she woke the sleepy den and alerted them to trouble. Chasing the van with her captured mate, her desperation to get to Usna left death in her wake, allowing both the Alpha and Usna's Faithful companion, Steve, to follow in attempts to reach him.

However, this was all in vein as there were so many hunters blocking the path which allowed the leader of the hunters to escape with Usna.

Several years have gone by since then, while Mia fears Usna has already perished, she continues to search for him as carefully as she can while raising and protecting their twin boys with the help of Drake and Steve.
